Authenticity, tradition, Art of living

The history of the estate dates back to the 14th and 16th centuries. This exceptional place has since been restored with finesse, care and authenticity. Beyond a place, Cazenac is an Art of Living, a land of anchorage and culture, in perfect harmony with nature. The place is ideal for discovering the surrounding treasures and sharing exceptional moments with your family, friends or colleagues during seminars.

The origins of the domain
Exceptional cultural and architectural heritage

The first stones laid in the Château de Cazenac date from the Middle Ages and are initially related to a military construction dedicated to defense thanks to the battlements and archers with which the 13th century tower is equipped. At the end of the 15th century and during the first part of the 16th century, the castle inherited a second artillery tower, to the east, and a châtelet with visible culverins.

At the top of the skylights are frontispieces sculpted with sunbeams, in homage to King Louis XIV. From the 17th century to the Revolution, a facade was built with large windows on the south side, which made it possible to connect the two towers from east to west and to transform the Château de Cazenac into a pleasure property.

Tradition and Modernity

The new Cazenac is being transformed into a high-end reception venue

The New Cazenac

Owned by the Abzac and Roffignac families, it was subsequently sold several times to private families who transformed it over time in the 20th and 21st centuries with heart and passion. Each of the families brings its stone to the building and gradually transforms the place into a haven of beauty and peace.

The new Cazenac, remaining a private castle, will be transformed between 2020 and 2022 into a high-end reception venue, with the comfort of modern materials.

Thanks to significant resources put in place, financial, human, thanks to the assistance of talented architects and craftsmen, the frame of the tower has been redesigned, certain floors lowered, other interior parts restructured, such as the cellar, also sanitized and protected from humidity.

Extensions are developed, such as the Orangery, bright, built on the west side facing the alley of chestnut trees, and in perfect harmony with the different architectural styles of the 14th and 16th centuries.

The Cazenac experience

Cazenac offers a culinary and artistic experience, in connection with nature

The Orangerie makes use of an art gallery, a place of meditation and reconnection. The whole blends into nature, redesigned around the castle by a professional landscaper. Each resinous tree has been carefully protected from processionary caterpillars and other fruit trees are planted here and there.
Another magnificent space is dedicated to the culinary arts. Numerous bay windows and skylights have been added in the spirit of the Jeu de Paume gallery and the Orangerie gallery in Paris. Refined places of great beauty, in daylight, offer a direct view of nature, inspiring for all artists.
